An important first step is finding a qualified lender with a loan program to fit your financial needs and goals for your real estate portfolio. This will help you to identify a price range, and a letter from your lender should be submitted when you are ready to write and submit an offer.
Also important is identifying the area and neighborhoods that you are interested in evaluating. Take an afternoon to tour six to eight homes in the parameters that are important to you (size, price, number of bedrooms, etc).
Once you find the right home, and your financing is in order, you are ready to make an offer.
Following the acceptance of an offer, you have 17 calendar days to research and inspect your prospective home.
Escrow is opened and your lender works with you to get the best "rate" and
terms for your loan and financing.
